On May 20, 2010, 12 NUQ students traveled to New Orleans, La., where they worked in pairs to create short documentaries about life in the Crescent City five years after Hurricane Katrina.

Northwestern University Profs. Christopher Booker and Jennifer Koons worked with the students on reporting, shooting and editing the videos, which focused on such diverse topics as the rebirth of the music and arts community and the lasting impact of Qatar’s $100 million donation to the city in the wake of the hurricane.
